Career Project
One of my favorite end-of-the-year projects is our Career Research & Art Project. Students first research what they want to be when they grow up, then they create an Art Project drawing out the occupation they have chosen with tools from the trade. These turn out so cute and I love them so much every year!
This year, we are introducing our Career Project with a Career ABC Slide activity.
Students are finding one career for each letter of the alphabet, providing 2 facts for that career, and a picture. We decided to implement this because so many students have a hard time getting started when they don't know what they aspire to be as of yet. This gives them some ideas to help them get started.
After completing the ABC project, students are getting started on their research using this template:
After their research is completed, students will begin the Art portion of the assignment. This is so neat and totally my favorite part. The creativity some of the students show in the art portion of the assignment is extraordinary!
Here are some completed examples from previous years:
I can't wait to see what this year's artists come up with!! 😍
